Vertical scrubbers

In scrubbers, also known as abatement towers, the air is purified by washing it with acidic or basic aqueous solutions or with water only. This process allows to break down the chemical, organic and inorganic substances, soluble in water, present in the air flow sent to the tower.

Galli Aldo vertical scrubbers are designed according to the specifications of the air to be treated and the abatement thresholds to be achieved.

They can be divided into the following categories:

  • Static filling scrubber

    Used for the treatment of dust-free air, for all sectors of activity.

  • Floating fill scrubber

    Used for the treatment of air charged with solid particles, particularly recommended for the waste sector.

  • Plate scrubber

    Plate scrubbers are more rarely used due to their higher pressure drops. Their main applications are in the physical absorption of organic pollutants, especially where there is interest in the recovery of a concentrated solution of the compound.

  • Scrubber Venturi throat

    Used for the treatment of very dusty air.

  • Static filling scrubber
