Biofilters
Galli Aldo biofilters are entirely designed in PP with an external support structure in galvanized steel.
The cover, where required, can be single or double slope, or parts of the biofilter are pre-assembled in the company and then welded on site. We are proud of our total bio-filtering surface of over 5,300 m² which is still active and performing.
Operation of the biofilter
The air to be treated is filtered through porous organic material, also called filter material or biomass, which serves as a support and, in part, nourishment for aerobic microorganisms. The latter carry out a biochemical oxidation process on polluting organic compounds.
Unlike other deodorization treatments of a chemical or physical nature, biofiltration has the result of eliminating odorous pollution from the air and not transferring it to another location.
